NAME: SUNRISE CELL COMPANION
PROJECT: SELF-INITIATED CASE STUDY
YEAR: 2025
A FAST, FOCUSED DESIGN EXPLORATION DEVELOPED TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL-WORLD WORKFLOWS AROUND SUNRISE’S ROBOTIC CELLS. THE AIM WAS TO CREATE A WEARABLE, ALWAYS-ON NOTIFICATION DEVICE THAT SUPPORTS OPERATORS SUPERVISING MULTIPLE CELLS IN HIGH-MIX, LOW-VOLUME ENVIRONMENTS. THE PROJECT COMBINES INTERACTION DESIGN, LIGHTWEIGHT UX FLOWS, AND A FUNCTIONAL PHYSICAL PROTOTYPE TO TEST SCALE, ERGONOMICS. THE OUTCOME IS A SMALl DEVICE WITH A MINIMAL INTERFACE—DESIGNED TO FIT SUNRISE’S EXISTING DESIGN LANGUAGE AND OPERATIONAL REALITY.
