NAME: Te-Lamp, TE-Table
Project: TECHRE, Remanufacturing technical textiles
YEAR:2023
CILENT: Self initiated project, made possible with CIRCE Fellowship
TE-Lamp emerged as a derivative of the larger-scale project, TECHRE. Similarly, TE-Table shares this origin, utilizing a singular panel derived from repurposed technical textiles, specifically manufacturing byproducts such as textile cuttings. The use of a standardized format is evident in both products: the lamp features a round profile, while the table incorporates a reinforced panel. Additionally, both items make efficient use of cardboard rolls originally intended for the transportation of new fabrics, emphasizing the origin of materials. These products serve as experimental, DIY showcases, highlighting the distinctive properties of the utilized cuttings—a primary focus in the overarching project.
